Yeah, this is probably based on a widespread issue I've been seeing with save state/autosave with game using OKI. I can confirm and I'll add other drivers as I see them.

I was listing drivers as I was able to confirm them physically. I haven't had the time to check the hundreds of potentially effected drivers and they are in the purely for the ability of users to search and see there is a problem with it.

Why Is this OKI / save state bug in 'Resolved' status? The current MAME version still crashes with 90% of the games using OKI sound chip. Would someone reopen it please? Sorry if it has been reported into another bugID.

This bug report is a previous issue - notice the "RELATED TO" link to the newer occurring bug. Notice also the version it was reported and fixed. The latest bug came in versions later than this was resolved and involves the same sound chip, but broken in a different way, it appears, and is still not resolved. Bug04268
