Summary | 04012: ffight, area88, cawing: 30 impulses / second autofire doesn't work with game design "flaws"
Description |
In Final Fight is known that if you have a 30 impulses / second autofire and hit a barrel with it, gold bars should came out of each barrel. In Area 88 / Carrier Air Wing, pressing the autofire button on the shop and moving the lever to the left/right almost istantly, it's possible to "steal" items without paying them. These three issues doesn't happen in MAME emulation, almost certainly a bug in the CPS1 timings (missing delay/waitstate accessings). |
||||
Steps To Reproduce | Needs an HW 30 impulses / second autofire, or little MAME source code modifications (that I won't give for obvious reasons)

There was incorrect intel about this. For Final Fight you have to destroy a barrel then move the stick in a split frame (a motion seems to be enough). For Carrier Air Wing it's enough to use left + auto button 1 to steal starting from mission debriefing. Closing. |
