Summary | 00417: ddragon3: the title voice should start when the background tune hits its highest note. | ||||
Description |
There's something wrong here. If you listen to the pcb recording, the voice that says "Double Dragon 3 - the Rosetta Stone" starts when the background tune hits its highest note. MAME currently plays this voice too early, even though the frequencies of the YM2151 & the OKI are correct (actually, the OKI sounds a little fast compared to the recording. Sounds like it should be set at 8000khz instead of 8500, but the voice still plays too early even if you make this adjustment). Adjusting the frame rate from 60hz to around 57.5ish (and I note the original Double Dragon ran at 57.44, so it could be that) fixes the problem. I don't know whether this is the correct solution or not, but as it stands MAME is incorrect, and this should be noted as a bug. |
