I disagree, even though you're right, it would be like renaming "Ameisenbaer" to "Anteater" because ameisenbär means anteater. |

No, it is not a case like in Germany. Those usage of Kanji are called Ateji, please check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ateji and http://www.geocities.jp/f9305710/ateji.html This is one of the most important Japanese expressions. A lot of game names use this method, and developers gave creative combinations. The most famous example is "Initial D", if we had to call the game "Tenseiryuu", Initial D had to be "Kashiramoji D" from the original Kanji reading, also Donpachi should have to be "Shuryouhachi" and Senkoo no Ronde were Senkoo no Rinbu. The title of sams64 shows Kanji for Samurai+Tamashii, but this reads Samurai Spirits officially. In mayjinsn, direct meaning and reading of title kanji is "5 gatsu" (May) + "Jin" (fortress) + "Battle". The game designer's intention is "Meijin Sen" (master + league" held in May. |

Ateji is often used in Japanese novels, comics etc etc so that it's not amazing notational system. If hap says "disagree" without the above understanding, also I "disagree" your opinion. But I don't disagree that this game includes "Tenseiryuu" and "Saint Dragon" with correct understanding. For example, VGL published by AMP group, it is listed as "SE" instead of "TE" with both words. |

It is listed as Tensei Ryuu Saint Dragon on official record magazines, hence the change. But, whatever ... |
