Summary 04512: ikaruga: The inputs don't function
Description Everytime you starts the game you have to wait for a system countdown (Is it that the correct behaviour?).
The game starts with 1 credit inserted and when the countdown is finished the inputs don't function at all, you even cannot inserts others credits.

This is known issue, also known why it happens, but unknown how to fix this in correct way without hack/patch-things.

But anyway this game has "GAME_NOT_WORKING" flag, so it useless to post bugreports until development is in progress.

The primary reason that most/all games in the driver are not working are largely due to overall performance/speed. This is a major functional regression as you could with earlier builds play the game just fine, as I was told. Also, it very well might effect other games which give this some merit as an acceptable report.

looks like issue not happens anymore
tested on selfcompiled x64 win32 - countdown can be skipped by Start btn, ingame controls also works fine.

Confirmed. The reported issue does not occur using 0.152
Game starts with 0 credits and you can advance to mode selection without waiting for the countdown with working inputs.

I'll mark this as resolved, but don't know the version which the reported behavior actually changed.

Fixed in MAME 0.146u1. From 0.145u7 -0.146 it crashed.
