Summary 05026: exctscc2: graphic glitches maybe priority issue
Description After scoring the opponent team the cheerleaders overrun in the game field while after a second goal they disappear leaving black holes (sprite priority?)

if the cheerleaders are part of the tilemap it's unlikely to be a sprite priority issue.

more likely a mirror not being handled correctly, a real game bug, or something with the protection?

The correct tiles are written to the tilemap.
It uses colour $0E, which happens to be all black (palette $70-$77 i think).

*edit* so, next likely cause is PROM contents. Did MAME lazily borrow exctscc2 prom dumps from exctsccr assuming it was the same?

hap was right, the driver was making a bunch of assumptions about exctscc2 being very similar to exctsccr.
Fixed by caius and 'der Kommissar'. Now colors match PCB (even the field, even if it seems peculiar).

Reopened as it's been confirmed it still happens later on / with different number of goals scored.
