| Description |
A hardware coco multi-pak unit (aka multicart) has 4 slots that replace the single coco slot. There is a switch that selects which slot has active I/O at $FF40-$FF5F and ROM. The value sent to $FF7F overrides the switch. Currently for all MESS versions, when 'multi' is selected, 5 cartslots show up in the internal ui (scroll lock/tab), they are not numbered, and the extra 4 don't seem active. There is nothing equivalent to the multi-pak switch in the current emulation. |
