My POV is that Comad didn't really cared about service mode in these games, only newfant works (sort of, the color font still seems too bright). By looking at the data manipulation that the m68k does when tries to put a font in vram (ROM data at ~0x200xxx) just confirms this theory. In short: these are just blantant hacks/rip-offs, what did you expect? |
