Description | cfg files are not saving with any game that has a diff file. any other games save without a problem.. | ||||

Additional Information | the game is not saving controls, analog controls, dip switches and bookkeeping information. I have to reconfigure everything every time I want to play the game. | ||||

I tried KINST (which has a CHD) and a made a dip switch change. The resulting .cfg file when ending wrote correctly to disk - therefore, I cannot reproduce. This sounds like you have a folder permission issue or other configuration issue that is not the result or error of MAME. Have you tried setting up MAME in a different (new) folder? |

yeah I figured it out. it's the Hard Disk Directory in the cfg file. if I rename the path to for instance, to my desktop it saves. it must be that the path name was too long or something. I don't know. but otherwise, it now saves. |
