Summary | 05601: lbgrande: Cannot start a 2-Player Game
Description | It's impossible to start a 2-Player Game. After inserting two coins the game only states "Press 1P Start". Hitting the 2P start does nothing. Several sources state that Libero Grande is a 2-Player Simultaneous Game.
Steps To Reproduce |
1. Run game 2. Insert 2 coins 3. Hit 2P Start Nothing Happens |
||||
Additional Information |
When testing the response of keys in Service Mode, Player-2 Start responds. I haven't tested in a non-UI build, but I did test it in MAMEUI64 .153 & MAMEUI64 .145u7 |

I'm pretty sure it's only a 1 player game, I can't even picture how it would work as 2 player. |

I think there´s a network pcb and 2 cabinets could be connected. As a single monitor game it's improbable, I agree. http://www.bandainamcogames.co.jp/am/vg/liberogrande/liberogrande-4.php |

I haven't seen any pictures/videos of multiplayer (since most people would only have access to the MAME version) but the PSX version used split-screen. Here's a screenshot: http://www.nowgamer.com/siteimage/scale/800/600/214624.png |

The inputs not always match to expectations, such as this instance. Many systems have a standard input scheme which is shared between games even if one games might use them or not but usually mirror what is available in test mode. This case is very clear, the game as set up only allows one player since there is no networked second instance running as the other side as you see the JVS Cabinet Options in Service Mode is greyed out by software and not selectable. Not a Bug. |
