Summary | 05717: megadriv [d_titovr]: The demo "Overdrive by Titan" glitches on two places. | ||||
Description |
The final version of demo glitches on two places. (otherwise almost perfect) http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=61724 The 1st place is shown on attached picture below, and the 2nd place is an 512 color picture (not attached). |
||||
Steps To Reproduce |
mess megadriv -cart1 "TiTAN - Overdrive (Rev1.1-106-Final) (Hardware).bin" and compare with yt-video v1.1 final version: |
||||
Additional Information |
In above pouet link exists two versions of the demo: Overdrive v1.1 *final* version (support pal and NTSC) -> "TiTAN - Overdrive (Rev1.1-106-Final) (Hardware).bin" and party version (support only pal) -> "titan-overdrivemegademo.bin" Use only the final version to test the megadriv and genesis systems in MESS emulation ! JFI ... The party version of the demo is only for megadriv (PAL) system, but if you try to run it in MESS with genesis system: mess genesis -cart1 "titan-overdrivemegademo.bin" it will not glitch on the 1st mentioned problematic place ! (but will hang later ... anyway just for info) (p.s. AFAIK, only emu that runs the both versions of the demo properly is genplus-gx) |

Confirmed. Major reason why it was added to the software hashes (hash/megadriv.xml) because there are known issues with the emulation (as commented in .xml document). |

It seems the "d_titovr" in the software hashes (hash/megadriv.xml) is the Party version and not the Final 1.1 version !? JFI ... in comparison with the Final 1.1 version, the Party version of the demo has a glitch also on the "chessboard" part of the demo! (so good to have both versions) |

yes, the other one needs adding. there are a couple of other Genesis demos exposing errors in our emulation too. anything that's tested on real hardware, especially those with real hardware reference videos to show how they should run on real hw is useful to us. |

Of course, it seems that ours thinking go in the same direction. ;-) |
