MAME says the header of this state is invalid so I'm unable to load it.

I get some weird error and can't playback the inp file.

If it's believed to not be a MAME bug, (which seems most likely) is the point of this report to log that's it's correct behavior?

Should this be set as BTANB?

The save and input not is opening here too. Strange.
If you play using cheat infinite lives is the same result if not using cheat.
Please try play using cheat because not is an mame bug.
Thanks.

I think this is just a native bug and not an emulation issue. The original Double Dragon (ddragon and its clones) doesn't allow name entry after clearing the final stage either.

Total time gameplay Double Dragon 2 is less of 20 minutes and the size will be less of 15 MB.

If the video is too big for MT just put it on Youtube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, whatever and put a link in the notes.

I have posted another input.Run fine here with 0.161. Input file is for ddragon2. Strange input file from previous versions not had worked. OK all running good now.

Below is not related with emulation is more for anyone here who likes Double Dragon 2.
After of several times trying record an input and my patience is almost in end because Double Dragon 2 has several problems. I would have stopped trying to do all of this if it was for me.Is random the times you can finish with an credit because of all problems below :

- CPU attacking you is pretty bad. Enemies stand and move randomly as if you don't know where you are.
- Bad detection collision. Players and enemies attacks fails very much. See my input. Have moments character lose because of bad coding. Even an good player will lose in some areas.
- Original Double Dragon had problem with cheater players trying win points in some areas and was added and new ``feature``. When the player is an scene and not move forward in some times
- Bad control response. I not see problem using left and right buttons attacks how was in Nekketsu Kunio Kun. Is better in some moments than the original, but control fails in some moments. You press buttons and the player jump or attack.
enemies enter in the screen ... the problem ? enter one, two, three and all time and is an terrible problem. How to go forward if the game not allow ? That feature was good, but poorly implemented. Good players will lose life because the time will end. To avoid the problem player need if possible win all enemies on screen at once.
Technos cheating ? CPU cheating for you lose the credit ? Not even. Is problem in game code.
Original Double Dragon had better graphics and Technos not had good hardware. ddragon2 music, stage and character design are well done. Graphics have less details than original Double Dragon perhaps because of game protection with the sprites and will be extreme slow.
See that in current MAME versions ddrago2 has CPU adjusted. Double Dragon 1 and 2 are the arcade more slow that I known.
Even thus Double Dragon 2 is an good arcade game to play and in overall was better on NES.

Thanks and good luck

It seems Double Dragon 2 doesn't allow name entry after finishing the final stage.

Maybe the final score on his last credit was not enough (only 9180 points)... I'd need to find more pcb full gameplay videos.

The first Double Dragon does not allow to enter your name when you beat it, only lets you do it if you die (same thing happens with Mortal Kombat 1). Since Double Dragon 2 is almost exactly to the first one, I should bet my wife it isn't a mame bug.
