Summary 06015: All sets: Emulation speed drop from 100% to <60%
Description On my Ubuntu 15.04 box I see an emulation speed drop for all sets to about 60%. It happened after 0.160 which is the last release I can test. Please find the result of mame -verbose pacmania for both versions in attachment.

namcos1.c there was a performance decrease just after 0.163 was released and effects namcos1 which I assume will be revisited again [ https://github.com/mamedev/mame/commit/0f151264284052e9a3a2b39a2c0772c843069ba4 ] as well as some changes regarding games using 6809 cpus. I don't think those could be construed as emulation errors.
I didn't see much loss when checking namcos2.c games other than the minor loss related to 6809 stuff.
.
Those games should still run run fast enough even on the low end pentium 4's.. not entirely sure what you are running?

Short summary from system messages:

CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) X2 Dual Core Processor BE-2350 2.100 MHz
Memory: 4gb
GFX card: NVIDIA Corporation GT215 [GeForce GT 240] (rev a2)

I admit it's not the fastest choice, but should be enough to emulate games so old, and indeed they performed good before 0.164. ;-)

This is a slight bit of detriment due to overall code improvements; the way things were done was changed, and the old optimizations no longer worked. They'll be replaced in the future. In the meantime, please pardon our dust, we apologize for the inconvenience.
