Summary | 06032: bbcm: Some disks refuse to load?
Description | Some ssd disk files refuse to boot even though they work in other BBC emulators. This is not a bug. (You might have been confused because most emulators always have an autoboot feature that you always use). Most ssd files on the internet are FM. bbcm mainly loads MFM by default. To load FM disks, you need to press D and BREAK.

This is not a bug. "bbcm has two DFS one for FM and MFM, by default ADFS (MFM) is selected. To load ssd you need normal DFS (FM). Press D and BREAK to select DFS, then load as normal. A and BREAK selects ADFS " From Pernod, main person working behind the BBC driver. |
