Summary MESS-specific 06180: castlill and possibly castlillj: Certain sprites are wrongly positioned
Description Making a longplay I've noticed that some sprites override others and don't hide when they have to...So far i've found:

Stage 1-4 --> The floating ghost override the bottom-score panel
Stage 4-2 --> The floating cakes override the bottom-score panel and the milk-water
                        The rotating biscuits override the bottom-score panel

Not checked the castle (last stage) but maybe solving the problem will solve all the misplaced sprites on the game
Steps To Reproduce At stage 1-4 the dark forest, jump the ghost until some of then stay at the bottom of the screen
At stage 4-2 the sweet world, just play and you'll notice the problem easily

yeah, the sprite masking algorithm we have isn't right, not much is broken, but a handful of cases are.

the correct one is quite well documented at this point.

Played Streets Of Rage (, seems to suffer the same problem when the player character appears at the top of the screen, with the score behind of him...
