Summary 06482: mtwins: Screen flickering at the ending secuence
Description All the game runs fine, but at the ending secuence when the staff credits appears, the screen starts to flicker. Seems to be a regression since at mame 0.134 there is no flickering.
Steps To Reproduce You have to finish the game and wait for the ending credits secuence.

I can't confirm the regression version, but the flickering does happen with current release (0.182) I've attached a save state right before the ending sequence.

entirely possible it's correct, doing this on a CRT monitor would likely just make it appear at half brightness rather than flicker.

the older MAME versions didn't emulate the layer enable registers properly.

I was also thinking along the same lines as I played it and watch it a few times if it's in fact correct behavior and/or BTANB's.

It seems like just a way of glorifying the ending sequence at an attempt of making it special.
It's curious the Presented By Capcom screen experiences the behavior and then it instantly corrects itself when cycling next to the Game Over screen as if it's intentional.

Looking at this end sequence wiht HLSL RASTER.INI effects enabled (or with BGFX CRT GEOM that seems better) it appears quite obvious that it's an intentional effect, a sort of "flashing till your eyes will blink". I would set this as BTANB in my opinion.

Here's the ending of mega twins, played at the arcades:

BTANB then?
