Summary 06634: PS3/PS4 sticks have a stuck up input when program loses focus
Description When you lose focus from MAME window to anything else in your OS, an up direction is getting stuck inside emulation itself.
Apparently happens with Playstation 3/Playstation 4 type sticks only like my Venom Arcade stick.
Steps To Reproduce 1. Use any service mode with an input test built in, and run MAME in a window
2. lose focus from MAME i.e. click on any other running program window from your OS (for example the command line used to launch the game itself).
Additional Information Breakage happened between 0.171 and 0.172, presumably with this commit:
"-Rewrote input routines as modules [Brad Hughes]"

 I have a regular PS3 dualshock, but haven't ever attempted to use it with my Windows 10 X64 PC.

What's the driver people download to make this work? Google seems to be linking to weird unofficial stuff.

 Just a note, this is not MESS specific, but an issue with MAME in general, not any specific driver.

*Hori Real Arcade Pro 4 (PS3/PS4);
*Venom Arcade Stick (PS3/PS4);

As for installing dual shock on pc, maybe this will work?

 Thanks Kale, worked like a charm. My PS3 controller works with MAME now on my PC.

I wasn't able to repo the behavior however with my CECHZC2U A1 Wireless controller connected with USB.

I'll have to look into getting my hands on a Venom Arcade Stick. I imagine it plays as well as it looks.

 Update: as in 0.215 breaking into debugger causes the spurious pressing up as well.
