Summary | 06732: ti99_4a: Joystick "up" direction does not work
Description | All joystick functions work except up (ie. left, right, down, fire). I tested using a usb game controller and the keyboard up arrow. I tried remapping the up function to another key and that didn't work
Steps To Reproduce |
Start a game and try playing it. I tried Parsec and Donkey Kong. |

Are you using the TI-99/4A? According to the driver: The hardware bug of the TI-99/4A: you have to release the Alphalock key when using joysticks. This is a maldesign of the board: When none of the other keyboard lines are selected the depressed Alphalock key pulls up the /INT7 line which is also used for joystick up. The joystick switch then fails to lower the line enough to make the TMS9901 sense the low level. |

This is a confirmed BTANB. Having owned a TI 99-4a for a long time I can attest to the fact about a seemingly malfunctioning joystick up due to Alpha Lock key. |
