Summary 06930: robocop, robocopu, robocopw: The sound effect of the van's backdoor cuts off suddenly
Description When you kill the driver of the final boss at stage 2, the backdoor opens and some enemies attack us. The sound of the backdoor when it's opening seems to cuts off.
Steps To Reproduce Play until the final boss at stage 2 and wait until that door gets opened.

Robocop uses YM2203, this driver has sound issues.

Taking a closer look, this is similar to 6923, is hard to tell if the sound is playing or if the channel level is too low.

Well I don't think is played too low, really is likely the sound is different or corrupted. I think the sound is the same I've reported in 06166, when batman hits with the attack button.

I'm filling a report about the mame sound engine, maybe with that the developers could fix a issue that will benefit all this machines.

Clearly related to 06740: Setting Overclock CPU: audio cpu to 150% solves the issue.

That bug is happening again. Sound fx not being played.

Confirmed at my side. This was fixed between 230 and 231, when Aaron made a lot of changes to the ymfm core. But at 231 the bug is still present so maybe a later ymfm commit could cause it...

When van backdoor open if overclocking the sound cpu in :
- 105 to 109 % sound fx is Robocop jump.
- 110 % bug is "fixed" .. sound fx is backdoor.

Just like overclocking audiocpu 'fixes' it, underclocking maincpu also does. I see 68000 DTACK hooked up in the schematics, so I suspect it's that.
