Summary	07083: specpl3e: Certain working disks in older releases won't run
Description	Recent changes in disk emulation have broken some games. Golden Axe is now unplayable and was running fine in older versions. Very possibly related to 07081.
Steps To Reproduce	1-Grab disk image (GoldenAxe(MCMSoftwareS.A.).dsk.zip) from http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseekid.cgi?id=0002081 2-Run the machine and press enter when Load is selected 3-Choose one and two player controls 4-Turn disk into side b 5-Start 1 player game, you'll see garbage in the game, you are able to move your character, but no more

Same for Out Run (MT 06957) and others. That means 'weak sectors' so we are out of lucky. Batman-TheMovie has a 'Paul Ownen' protection system. Same for Chase H.Q. and others Ocean releases. AFAICR, that means that program tries to read higher sectors than EOT (end of track). Maybe fixable, I will take a look (I think that others emulators just ignore EOT but it is a not good solution for MAME).
No.16268 StHiryu Tester Mar 23, 2019, 17:26	Yes my fault, you're right. Those games never worked. I think I should use a .tzx image or maybe some other .dsk, like a compilation pack that time. For me this report could be closed since the main problem (golden axe disk) is playable again.
