This hack exists in hbmame currently as "nrallyv". There has been no decision to support this in current MAME, although restrictions on just what gets added has changed a lot over the years. AFAIK, no one as even dumped one in the 18 or so years since MAME added this one. If it were as common as you claim, we would have gotten a rom submission or questions about it before now. It is very hard to verify at this point since the hack is simply rotated graphics. I'd like Fujix or someone else with knowledge of arcades in other countries to chime in on this one. |

I remember playing a New Rally-X on a vertical screen here in Brazil at the time but the version I played had support for high scores as well (in fact it had a big high scores list!!). I have played this nrallyv using HBMAME but I'm not quite sure it was the same version I played. I don't remember it having vertical texts everywhere, and I know that the version I played had high scores support. |

Now is possible this bootleg "IS" a update from "Rally X (Video Game bootleg)" set, has the same scheme position of texts The main different is only this, ported to New Rally X set and the "L" flag has a black block, the cars are the same and some graphics share with New rally-X vertical hack |
