Summary 08025: gforce2 and clones: Speed decrease not mapped to controller by default
Description Using the default controller mappings, there's no way to decelerate and thus only half the range of the game's physical speed lever is used ("AD Stick Z Analog Inc" needs to be manually set to "Joy 1 LT -").
Steps To Reproduce Load the game, then press F2, 9, 9, F2 to enter the input test. Only the default acceleration trigger on the controller will register changes when pressed, so speed will never reach an "FF" value.

I must be missing something.

Default mapping:
AD Stick Z Analog n/a
AD Stick Z Analog Inc Z
AD Stick Z Analog Dec A

As listed, the throttle value listed in the test mode seems to work fine and 'Z' brings it to FF value, 'A' brings it to 01 value
There is no default mapping to control the entire axis as an analog control. If I do map an axis of, say, a mouse to it, it goes the full range of movement as I move on that axis.

Looking at the upright, it looks like a lever which is how this mapping/control seems to be implemented as .. push forward to speed up and back to speed down.

I know that pressing Z on the keyboard brings the value to FF, but there's no way of doing that with a controller, as that input isn't mapped to the left analog trigger as usual.

It would be just a matter of setting "AD Stick Z Analog Inc" to "Joy 1 LT -" by default.
