Summary	08295: ridgerac & clones: sound hangs during Game Over speech.
Description	In "Ridge Racer" 1 & 2 (various versions?) during the spoken game over message there is a looped noise sample (varies with selected level?, sounds sometimes like a loud old harddisk motor) in the background for about 2 seconds. It sounds like it shouldn't be there (it is as loud as the speech), so it is likely no normal game behaviour. I suspect that a volume or envelope control register of the sound hardware for muting/fading it out is not emulated properly.
Steps To Reproduce	Play until game over and listen to the spoken message.

No.20073 MetalGod Senior Tester Apr 16, 2022, 15:59	I've seen some youtube videos of the game over screen in ridge racer and there's no voice there and not the bug you're reporting. This could be a regression. Have you tested any older version of mame?

You'l do it next time!"). There is only a hanging loop sample in the background during this for some seconds (which is a minor flaw that barely disturbs the game). On youtube I only see videos of people finishing the race. I did not reach beyond the 2nd lap, so my game ended without winning when it does those sounds.
