Summary | 08319: upndown: [NOTABUG] Appears to use 4-way joysticks, not 8-way
Description | In src/mame/drivers/system1.cpp, the input ports for the game Up'n Down (upndown) inherit from the "system1_generic" input ports, which define the player 1 and 2 joystick as 8-way. But it appears this game used 4-way joysticks. This does not affect game play, but does affect how some front-end programs categorize Up'n Down as an 8-way joystick game.

Apologies, it appears I'm wrong based on this flyer: https://flyers.arcade-museum.com/?page=flyer&db=videodb&id=1291&image=2 The Frogger conversion kit mentions an Eight Position Joystick Assembly. Sorry for the false bug report. Please close. |
