I've found no evidences of Tokyo Nihon Bussan/東京日本物産 ⁅Tokyo Nichibutsu/東京ニチブツ⁆ being independent at that time ⁅1983 or later⁆, most arcade flyers from Nihon Bussan ⁅Nichibutsu⁆ has the phone number "(03) 664 5271" & address to Tokyo Nihon Bussan ⁅Tokyo Nichibutsu⁆ "Tokyo, Chou City, Horidomechou, 1-5-12 Yashima Nihon Bashi Building/東京都,中央区堀留長, 1-5-12 (1丁目5番12号) ヤシマ日本橋ビル" , found on; Jangou ['83]; https://www.flyerfever.com/jangou/, Dynamic Ski ['84] (another Nihon Game product ⁅under the fictitious trade name Taiyo System⁆ sold to Nihon Bussan); https://www.flyerfever.com/dynamic-ski/, Tube Panic https://www.flyerfever.com/tube-panic-jp/, Terra Force ['87]; https://www.flyerfever.com/terra-force-jp/. etc. (There is other flyers from Nihon Bussan, but I'm not linking all of them. Also, according to the 'Frontier Spirit of Amusement' from Nihon Bussan, their Tokyo branch/arm was established in 1979; https://flyers.arcade-museum.com/?page=flyer&db=videodb&id=3508&image=8 ).

Also, on the Game Machine press release (scene here) says it's the same company, Nibu Group ⁅日物グループ⁆ is Nihon Bussan ⁅Nichibutsu⁆ distribution network name.

Should this really be confirmed? I also looked into this (though not to ozzyguy's level) and didn't see anything to suggest the Tokyo subsidiary was independent. And as ozzyguy points out the first paragraph in the submitted article if anything makes it seem like Tokyo Nihon Bussan, Nihon Bussan, and Nichibutsu Kyushu are all part of the same organization.

(3) 東京日本物産株式会社(Tokyo Nihon Bussan Co., Ltd.)

These companies were subsidiaries of Nippon Bussan. However, it was an independent legal entity.
