Summary | 08433: nes and clones, famicom and clones [duckhunt]: Zapper can't select game mode/shoot outside the screen
Description | The game selection can be operated with a controller or by shooting the Zapper outside the screen. Currently there's no way to shoot outside the screen.
Steps To Reproduce |
- Load the nes core with the game duckhunt. - Assign a Zapper to slot "ctrl2". - Reset core. - Assign the Zapper controls to a mouse in Input settings -> Input assignments (this system). - On the title screen, try to shoot at the outside border with your mouse. - Game will start, rather than select a different game mode. |

Yeah, not being able to shoot away from the screen is the reason that mstrshot in the NES software list isn't playable. Other games like hogan and wildgunm also should allow you to select menu items the same way as duckhunt. Also, this same problem affects other Famicom-like systems with a zapper or light gun: PlayChoice-10, FamicomBox, M8, etc. |
