Summary | 08553: onna34ro: Missing low-pass filter on sound effects | ||||
Description |
PCB footage (included below) indicates that it has low-pass filters on the AY sound effects. It's most evident when the player character or enemy gets thrown into a wall, where it's very bassy and loud on the real PCB unlike in MAME. Also affects other games in this driver to a smaller degree. |

Issue is partly solved thanks to some upcoming changes to the MSM5232 driver (see also issue 04567), which will fix the note decay issue. Now all that needs to be accounted for is the analog low pass filter of sorts on the sound effects, and improvements to the TA7630 filter (that's mentioned in the driver). |
