Summary | 08957: cdimono1 [valdisc]: DYUV test has wrong colors
Description |
The DYUV test produces test patterns. The colors are not correct. The RGB555 mode might not be correctly implemented. Pictures are attached in the ZIP file. |
||||
Steps To Reproduce | From the start menu, go to Philps Tests, then Video Representations, then DYUV decoder and just perceive.
Additional Information | This might be a very minor issue, considering that the RGB555 mode is rarely used in games. This is why this probably never came up.

UPDATE: Software list item "valdisc" was added in version 0.274. Also, commits made during that version's development may have fixed the color issue, not the commit I previously mentioned (6192e7b), so my previous note shall be disregarded for now (I also removed it) and any information can be subject to change pending further investigation. Also changed version where bug is fixed to 0.274 and removed commit and pull request info until we find the exact commit that fixed this issue. |

UPDATE #2: An upcoming pull request (#13511) by Vincent Halver shall finally fix the bug completely (majority of the fix was implemented in 0.274 to the DYUV decoder) and have it resemble the real hardware screenshot. All information will be updated soon when the pull request is merged. |

UPDATE #3: I have attached the screenshot images from the original ZIP file. The one from MAME 0.271 is viewable, but you have to open the image link for the real hardware capture (which I resized to reduce file size). |
