Summary | 09139: kchamp, karatedo, karatevs: sound channels are unbalanced | ||||
Description |
Thanks for reading my topic. Comparing MAME with arcade video capture the sound channels are unbalanced. Sound fx volume player attack and the bull running are much more high in arcade. If changing AY-3-8910A AY2 Channel 0 to 200 % sounds closer to arcade. That also happens in Karate Champ VS version. Have an nice week. |

AFAIK it's more due to unemulated filters, not volume balance. |

A lot of early games use low-pass filters, some of which are emulated by MAME (like Scramble) and some which aren't (like Taito SJ). |
