Summary 09142: alto2: Blank screen
Description This system is listed as working.

History shows work on it from 0.154 to 0.177, and I do remember it was able to display text at startup during that time.

However, now it does nothing, and it's been non-functional for years.
Steps To Reproduce Run it with

>mame alto2

You get a blank white screen. You should get some very tiny text near the top at the bottom.

I can't give more info as I don't know anything about this system.

Do you mean the fake status line at the bottom? That was removed deliberately.

It's been a long time, so I had to go check with old versions, and yes you are correct. So, closed as an invalid report.

The problem is of course that the only media used is a custom hard drive, of which I couldn't find one anywhere, and there's no software list.

The blank screen, although apparently correct, isn't going to let anyone know as to whether the system works or not.

The system was thought to have regressed here: https://forums.bannister.org/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=118933

There is one difference I noticed between now and then, is that back then it took 13 seconds for the screen to change from black to white, now it only takes about 1 second.

So I guess there nothing that can be done.
