Summary | 09170: fmtowns, fmtmarty and clones [ktiger]: Kyuukyoku Tiger hangs | ||||
Description |
That game is registered "working" on hash\fmtowns_cd.xml, but doesn't work in current 0.277. Hangs on TownsOS logo. It works with previous nvram still available (I don't know when I made that nvram file in that version), but doesn't work with initialized nvram. I think the "initializing" nvram feature is broken. |
||||
Steps To Reproduce |
1. clear nvram folder of fmtowns/fmtmarty (or any clone) 2. run that systems with -cdrm option 3. hangs on TownsOS logo I tried the redump bin/cue image of Kyuukyoku Tiger (available on current fmtowns_cd.xml), both bin/cue and chd images have same behavior. |

The FM Towns and Marty series is marked as not working. Therefore it's no surprise that things don't work. I'll confirm it, but only because it's a regression. |

I think this may be a game bug, not an emulation bug. I tried the game on my real FM Towns Model 2 with an empty NVRAM (by removing the battery) and it behaves the same way. Just booting any version of TownsOS once and then running the game again makes it work. It also does the same thing on the Tsugaru emulator if you use it with the Model 1/2 firmware ROMs. |

Someone can add a usage note to the software list if they want to. |
