Even if it's not audible on PCB videos, the blip is too short to verify. MAME boots up immediately, a PCB takes a few milliseconds to power on all components. We know from PCB references of other games (eg. Bank Panic, Mr Do's Castle, and also on BBC Master) that this sound chip makes a low pitch beep at power-on. |

PCB video. No noise is heard during startup. Judging by the coin sound, the volume seems sufficiently loud. |

Lots of games make a clunk or thud at start, which I've always regarded as normal, especially as real audio systems often do it. I've set it to trivial, and confirmed it. The problem occurs with all games in the driver, and after hearing it a few times it does become annoying. |
