| Summary | 09330: Audio Mixer / Audio Effects menu clutter when driver has multiple speakers | ||||
| Description |
In the internal UI, Audio Mixer / Audio Effects menu fill up pretty fast when a driver has multiple speakers. When OG initially wrote it, the mixer menu was more compact. After additional commits by cuavas & me, admittedly the menu visibility is unclear even though it's less confusing to control. See screenshots of these menus for the apple2gs driver. I'd suggest an intermediate menu like we have with Video Options, where the user selects a screen target first. Note: not claiming this design suggestion is final, it's not my decision to make. Audio Mixer menu: If 1 speaker: same as now (unless MAME adds new generic options to this menu) If more than 1 speaker: Speaker 1 Speaker 2 Speaker 3 ----- Return to previous menu Audio Effects menu: Speaker 1 Speaker 2 Speaker 3 Default ---- Resampler options here ----- Return to previous menu |
