| Summary | 09476: hp64k: System Master Controller not working | ||||
| Description |
This system is marked as working. According to the software manual when this system is switched on you should get a prompt. However it says UNABLE TO BOOT: WAITING FOR SYSTEM MASTER CONTROLLER and cannot do anything. I tried a few boot disks but made no difference. If you go to the DIPs you can see that the controller is switched off. If you turn it on, MAME unexpectedly quits without a message. If you instead change the System source dip to Performance verification, the diag screen appears. From there, press F1 a few times until it says SYS BUS TEST. Press F2 to begin the test, and once again MAME shuts down. |
||||
| Steps To Reproduce |
>mame hp64k After a few beeps, the UNABLE TO BOOT message appears. Can't boot a disk, and can't enter any commands. |
||||
| Additional Information |
The previous behaviour, seen at 0.277, is that the controller can be turned on, which changes the message to UNABLE TO BOOT: DISC 0 DOWN. The diag test doesn't crash either, instead it says the system bus is fine. But, it still won't boot a floppy, and it still won't produce the prompt. |
