| Description |
This machine is listed as working, but it has never really worked in my experience. If you boot with the default settings, it asks for a floppy disk and won't proceed until an acceptable one is loaded. After that, it displays some text and hangs. There's no software list, so I had to try various disks that work on the oric1. If you instead go into the Slots menu and turn off the floppy disk, now it straight away shows the extra text then hangs. (see first attachment). After that, if you go into the Slots menu and remove the printer, now it shows the menu items and it's possible to proceed. One of the menu items is Basic, but there's keyboard problems, where letters are also interpreted as control characters, corrupting the screen. So, multiple severe issues. |

| Steps To Reproduce |
>mame telstrat You'll see it asking for a floppy. When you eventually find one that doesn't get rejected by MAME, it may or may not be detected by the Telstrat. You'll get the picture in the first attachment, except it also says "Drive:A". Next, go into the slots and remove the printer and the fdd, and reset. Now you get a menu. Press 2 (LANGAGE). Now you'll get the menu in the other attachment. Select HYPER-BASIC, and try typing things. Note that the display gets all corrupted and it's impossible to get anything done. I won't call this a regression because I've never seen the system work correctly. |
