| Summary | 09503: crusnexo: Gear on/off inputs are reversed | ||||
| Description |
The four gear inputs in all versions of Cruis'n Exotica default to on. If you push one of the gear buttons it will turn off that gear input. In a normal situation with the gear level in one position, the game will see that only the other three gears have their switch pushed on. This causes the game to lock out the manual transmission option as it thinks the gearbox switches are malfunctioning. Note: creative button mapping in MAME can bypass the issue but this should not be necessary. |
||||
| Steps To Reproduce |
Enter the service menu -> diagnostic menu -> switch test. Note that the gear inputs (Shift 1, Shift 2, etc.) appear but have their switches pushed in. This is indicated by the blue boxes that only appear when an input is pushed. In the provided photo, nothing is mapped to any of the gears yet all four appear to be pushed in. Additionally, you can start a game and note that the manual transmission option is not selectable unless you are holding down three gear inputs. You must be holding these down as soon as you start a game or it will lock out the option. |
