Line 1638:
memory_set_direct_update_handler(cputag_get_address_space(machine, "audiocpu", ADDRESS_SPACE_PROGRAM), spc_direct);
instead of
memory_set_direct_update_handler(cputag_get_address_space(machine, "soundcpu", ADDRESS_SPACE_PROGRAM), spc_direct);

I triple checked that one before adding my note to this report... and still I missed that line. thanks Kale for pointing out.

actually, your change would break snesb.c games. I'm going to commit a proper fix (which doesn't break snes in MESS either)
