Summary 03711: rungun: Choppy music in the intro demo.
Description The video plays the track fluently and in Mame there are some tiny breaks every few seconds that break the rhythm.

it seems the 16MHz and 10 MHz are guesses cause the PCB gives a 18432000 for the CPU and a 18432000/2 for the sound CPU. These changes make the music in sync with the video and an interrupt of 500 makes it fluent again.
I'm squeezing my own bugs somehow. lol

do you have the pcb? if so could you tell me how the dual screen output works on it?

the standard thing konami did on the type3/4 gx games was to multiplex the output and split it with an extra board, so that the 60fps video ended up being split across the 2 monitors with odd/even frames going to alternate monitors (which is why those games have rather choppy animation)

Run and Gun seems to update it's single screen at 60fps tho, which makes me wonder how it works, by the same logic as the other games it would have to output a 120fps signal to do 2 monitors, or have a different output method to the GX games.

Sorry no i don't have it. I derived the info at Maws in the PCB info section and I found a PCB pic with an osci on it. The frequency was not readable in the pic but I guess the info at Maws is correct. Seems more logical and gives the game in mame a little more accuracy.
Only rungunu does not show the complete intro and runs twice as fast as it should.
It's the newest version 10.12. Maybe the prog changed there something that gives this speed issue.
ah, maybe here twice the speed, maybe double the frames, two monitors, just a wild guess.
