The sets "xevious" and "xeviousb" I'm testing with MAME 0.144 (64bit) are rebooting just as the game is finishing it's setup sequence.

It seems to be a regression, because someone claimed to have it fixed.

I've tested with latest 0.144u4 (64bit) version and it's rebooting also.

No problems on 32-bit for either game in 0.144 or 0.144u4. hap was able tot est 64-bit for me with the same results. I'm almost 100% positive that your problem is due to your roms not being correct. Does your warning screen tell you that you have "One or more ROMs/CHDs for this game are incorrect"?

I was able to duplicate the issue by putting using a 50xx.bin file (namco50.zip) that didn't match what MAME calls for. The game will still start up and for a fraction of a second show you the Xevious title screen, then reboot.

In short, update and verify your roms (especially the namco50,51,52,53,54,62 ZIP files) and your problems will go away. Making sure your have the correct

Hi Tafoid,

You got it! Since I couldn't find those 50xx.bin,51xx.bin,52xx.bin,53xx.bin and 54xx.bin ANYWHERE!!!, I had to use 'fake' ones instead, hoping for it to work. Now I've found the correct files and it's working properly! Thanks for pointing that out to me.
