Seeing some weird art effects, certain areas missing, discolored etc. when using -video bgfx and Fighters chain. Issue is not present with -video d3d with or without hlsl. Official .235 and daily 0.235 (mame0235-254-g0ce24d16f1c) |

Need to have mr. do's latest geebee.zip art in the .\artwork directory (so that it uses the upright artwork view by default) mame geebee -video bgfx -bgfx_screen_chains Fighters -norc compare to mame geebee -video d3d -hlsl_enable |

Yeah bgfx will do that on some of the artwork and overlay. videopin for example. |

As I've been told, this chain was imported from RetroArch shader packs. Anyway, I don't normally use shaders but using your command doesn't show the malfunction you are having on my end. Uploaded a print screen of the window of the output using your command line. Perhaps you have others non-default setting added. Does it happen with a clean install? Not sure if we can help as I cannot duplicate. |

Been waiting for nearly 2 weeks for a response and since I don't see an issue using the command shown (using 0.236), I'm closing as unable to reproduce. |

Hi Tafoid, I didn't see this get closed as I didn't have my notifications set up properly apparently. The missing bit of info is that it looks like this happens with Mr. Do's most recent geebee.zip art in the artwork folder and using that upright artwork view, the internal view you posted is fine. The art view however is ok with -video d3d. So not sure who needs to conform, the artwork to the shader or the shader to the artwork. |
